June 12–14, 2026 • Santa Clarita, California

Take a deep breath. What if your animal actually could tell you where it hurts?

Everywhere I go — at book signings, after workshops, in the middle of a wildlife journey in Kenya — I hear someone say it. Quietly. Almost to themselves: “Oh, if only my little one could tell me where it hurts.” And every single time, I think:

They can. Or at least they can tell the trained professionals.

I’m Joan Ranquet. I’ve been doing this work for over 30 years — and I can tell you with complete confidence that medical intuition is one of the most profound, most practical, and yes, most lifesaving skills an animal communicator can develop.

A sudden behavior shift — the dog who starts snapping, the horse who bucks, the cat who abandons the litter box — is almost always the animal telling you something. Not in defiance. In communication. Medical intuition gives you the skill to hear it.

“One woman was so distraught over her dog’s sudden change in personality, she thought he had lost the will to live. It turned out to be a bad back. Once he went to the holistic vet, he was completely himself again.”

A horse who won’t eat — one bad tooth. A cat who seems defeated — she’s been in pain for months. That sweet dog suddenly biting? He’s compensating for a hindquarter injury. These animals aren’t broken. They’re talking to us.

What You Cannot Learn From a Screen

Why horses change everything

Here is the truth about medical intuition that no online course can replicate: gaits are everything. The way an animal moves tells the whole story — compensation patterns, old injuries vs. new ones, which joint is guarding, where the pain is actually originating versus where it’s showing up.

You can read about a dog’s gait. You can watch videos of horses trotting. But until you’re standing in a paddock, watching a 1,200-pound animal move freely — walk, trot, canter — with your full nervous system engaged and your intuitive channels wide open, you haven’t truly learned to read a body in motion.

Horses are a living, breathing, full-scale classroom for everything you need to understand about gaits in dogs and cats. The mechanics are deeply parallel — and at horse-scale, nothing hides.

The Horse Advantage

On Pegasus or Anya, you see a four-beat walk, a two-beat trot, and a three-beat canter — with complete clarity. You can feel and see a subtle hitch, a shortened stride, a hip drop that’s compensating for something higher up. That pattern? It’s the exact same pattern in your client’s limping German Shepherd or the cat who’s stopped jumping onto counters. Once you learn to see and feel it at horse-scale, you’ll read it everywhere.

Why Students Come Back

I’ve taught medical intuition in our Advanced Animal Communication course, in immersives, in private sessions, and in past ranchette gatherings. Students keep telling me it’s the in-person, animal-in-motion experience that locks everything in for them in a way no other format can. There’s no substitute for being present with a horse who is actively showing you something. When you’re here, you’ll feel exactly what they mean.

The Curriculum

Going deeper than any digital course can take you

This is advanced work — and it’s hands-on from the moment we begin. We’ll move through the body systematically. We’ll feel gaits. We’ll walk through individual organ systems and the energetic layer beneath them — including the chakra system and how physical conditions show up there first. We’ll look at compensation. And we’ll practice — again and again — translating what we receive into something genuinely useful for a client.

  • Gaits in Full: Walk, trot, canter — learning to read movement as language, at horse-scale and beyond
  • Compensation Patterns: Where the pain originates vs. where the body compensates — these are rarely the same place
  • Individual Organ Systems: Feeling into each organ — digestive, respiratory, musculoskeletal, neurological — and what “off” actually feels like from the inside
  • Chakras & Physical Health: How the chakra system maps to the body and where emotional or energetic imbalances show up as physical conditions — often before a vet can detect them
  • Past vs. Present Injuries: Learning to distinguish old scar tissue and healed compensation from current active injury
  • Systemic Conditions: How whole-body challenges express themselves across multiple systems — and how to trace them back to source
  • Energy & Anatomy Together: Integrating what the chakras are telling you with what the physical body is presenting — because the two are always in conversation
  • Movement & Biomechanics: Understanding how the body moves as one integrated physical and energetic system
  • Translating to the Client: How to describe what you feel — clearly, professionally, and in terms a vet or bodywork practitioner can actually use
  • Remote Palpation Techniques: Showing the client how to check what you’re describing when you’re working on Zoom

What You’ll Walk Away With

This isn’t just about learning facts. It’s about building a new kind of body intelligence — the ability to feel into an animal’s physical experience and translate it with precision and confidence.

  • Gait Fluency: You’ll be able to watch any four-legged animal move and immediately read what’s happening structurally. This alone is worth the trip.
  • Body Confidence: A deeper, felt sense of how systems and anatomy work together — and what it feels like when something is out of balance.
  • The Language to Describe It: Knowing something and being able to articulate it clearly to a client or vet are two different skills. We’ll practice both.
  • Clinical Partnership Skills: How to work alongside veterinarians, chiropractors, massage therapists, and acupuncturists — explaining what you feel in ways they can use.
  • Compensation Intelligence: You’ll feel — really feel — what compensation patterns are in the body, and why treating the site of pain is often not enough.
  • Deepened Confidence: An immersion in a live, animal-rich environment accelerates skill-building in ways nothing else can match. You’ll feel the shift.

Is This for You?

Let’s see if any of these feel true:

  • Animal Communicators Ready to Go Deeper: You already have a foundation in AC and you’re ready to add a serious, practical skill that sets your work apart. Medical intuition is the next level — and doing it in person, with live animals, is the fastest path forward.
  • Bodywork & Healing Practitioners: Acupuncturists, massage therapists, reflexologists, energy healers — you want to understand what the animal is experiencing so you can target your work more precisely. This is that bridge.
  • Veterinary Professionals: Vets, vet techs, and veterinary support teams who are ready to integrate intuitive skills into a whole-animal approach — and elevate both their practice and their career.
  • Animal Care Professionals: Trainers, groomers, shelter workers, rescuers, conservationists, pet sitters — anyone who wants to understand not just the animal’s behavior, but the physical experience beneath it.
  • Advanced CWALU Students: If you’ve gone through AC Level 1 or 2, or attended an immersive, this is the natural next step — a live, hands-on deepening of everything you’ve been building.

About Joan Ranquet

I’ve been an animal communicator and energy healer for over 30 years. I’ve taught animal communication since 1998. I’m the author of five books, including Animal Chakra Healing (Inner Traditions), a TEDx speaker, and the founder of Communication With All Life University — which has trained thousands of students across every conceivable background and walk of life.

I’ve taught medical intuition many times — in my Advanced Animal Communication course, in immersives, in private training, and at ranchette gatherings like this one. What students consistently tell me is that the live, in-person experience — the horses, the land, the full physical reality of being with animals in motion — is what makes everything click in a way that nothing else can replicate.

I’m not going to tell you this work is easy or that everyone walks in and immediately gets it. I will tell you that when you do get it — when you tune into a horse moving across a paddock and feel exactly where the compensation is happening — there’s nothing in the world quite like it. And that skill will serve every animal you ever work with for the rest of your life.

“Joan, thought you might like an affirmation. The osteopath saw Charlie today and without us saying anything, he said it was his right shoulder, right neck, and right hind. You nailed it.”

— Student Feedback, After Session Practice

Are you ready to hear what they’ve been trying to tell you?

This is an intimate, hands-on workshop. Spots go quickly — and once they’re gone, this in-person experience won’t be replicated until next year.
